Most reviews commented on EA’s shift in the target audience: Instead of releasing a sequel true to its LucasArts predecessors, Electronic Arts opted for a more general approach, primarily targeting casual gamers. Battlefront received mixed review-scores, while fans criticized the seemingly repetitive combat, which lacked in depth and a full, entertaining gaming experience.
